NEST’s second “Focus Area”, the blocks of Witler Street, Hanfield Street and Lakeman Street needed significant improvement in the housing stock. NEST began working in this area to eliminate vacancy, build new homes on empty lots and combat blight by offering homeownership opportunities.

These housing projects were subsidized by the City of Cincinnati’s NOFA, NSP and HOME funding awards. Some homes were sold under income-restrictions, offered homebuyer down-payment assistance through City and Federal funding programs or both.

  1. **4113-4131 Witler: 3 new construction single-family homes are being built on 6 vacant parcels, including homebuyer down-payment assistance. The project will commence construction upon the release of the City’s subsidy funding in 2022.
