NEST’s original “Focus Area”, the blocks where Fergus Street and Mad Anthony Street intersect with Chase Avenue have come a long way since our work began here in 2005. NEST purposefully started working in this area to eliminate vacancy and crime while boosting homeownership in Northside.
These housing projects were subsidized by the City of Cincinnati’s NOFA, NSP and HOME funding awards. Some homes were sold under income-restrictions, offered homebuyer down-payment assistance through City and Federal funding programs or both.
