NEST’s “Kinda Tiny House” project launched in 2016 as NEST celebrated 11 years of redevelopment efforts. These smaller homes are aimed at increasing housing diversity, saving historic structures, and addressing home affordability. A KTH is ideal for first-time homebuyers or those looking to age-in-place.

The KTH homes are:

  • Affordable - making homeownership more accessible for all types of homebuyers

  • Visitable - designed in such a way that occupants or visitors with mobility issues can more easily traverse the home

  • Preserving - saving old homes already existing in Northside rather than tearing down structures to build new, larger dwellings

The first KTH, renovated in 2016, is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home under 1,000 SF with an accessible entrance.

NEST worked with the City of Cincinnati to renovate this dilapidated home and launch our program.
