Our Process

Property Acquisition
NEST works with the Port Authority Greater Cincinnati Redevelopment Authority, as well as property owners directly, to secure projects for development.

Funding
As a non-profit organization, NEST reinvests any proceeds from the sale of a project into future NEST projects. To help keep the finished homes affordable, NEST works with the City of Cincinnati (et al) to secure gap financing to cover the cost of developing a property, allowing the price to remain affordable.

Planning – Targeting with an Eagle Eye
Throughout our history, NEST has homed in on some of the most challenging and blighted areas of the neighborhood. We strategically develop properties in order to spur homeownership and foster safer streets.

Architectural Design
NEST works with various local architects to envision a new life for a property and a new home to homeowners. We are committed to sustainable building practices and have consistently pushed the limits of environmentally-conscious construction.
