Strategic Initiative: Kinda Tiny House Project
(2016 – present)

NEST celebrated 11 years of redevelopment in Northside and announced the Kinda
Tiny House Project.

Why “Kinda Tiny?”

The KTH Project gives new life to historic, yet smaller, homes in Northside.

These 1,000 square foot (or smaller) homes are aimed at increasing housing diversity while addressing affordability. A KTH is ideal for first-time homebuyers or those looking to age in place.

NEST KTHs are energy efficient. We strive for “visitability”— that is, accessibility to people who use wheelchairs or walkers. They are:

  • Affordable
  • Visitable – This is the first “visitable” home sponsored by the City of Cincinnati in collaboration with NEST. This means it can be easily lived in or visited by people who have trouble with steps
